YG171L yarn hairiness tester is a special instrument for measuring yarn hairiness index. This instrument is suitable for textile mills and scientific research, teaching, foreign trade, commodity inspection and other units to test the surface hairiness length, hairiness index and its distribution of various natural and chemical fibers, pure and blended yarns, in order to guide production, improve process, control quality, develop products, and provide identification means for yarn users.

This machine uses high reliable LED visible light source to image yarn and hairiness projection, and then uses high-speed counting acquisition method combined with computer to convert the changes caused by hairiness shielding into electrical signals, which are processed by computer for signal processing, counting statistics, display and printing.
