Cyclic corrosion test
Before the appearance of cyclic corrosion test, the traditional salt spray test (35_C continuous salt spray) was the standard way to simulate corrosion in laboratory. Because the traditional salt spray test method can not simulate the outdoor natural wet/dry cycle, the test results often have poor correlation with outdoor.
In the Q-FOG circulating corrosion salt fog chamber, the samples were exposed to a series of different environments simulated outdoor and repeated circulation. Simple cycles, such as the Prohesion cycle, can circulate between salt spray and drying. More sophisticated automotive testing methods may require a combination of humidity or condensation, along with a multi-step cycle of salt spray and drying.
In a Q-FOG salt fog chamber, it can be recycled through a series of the most important corrosion environments. Even extremely complex test cycles can be easily programmed with Q-FOG controllers. See Q-FOG specifications or check our standards for a detailed list of test methods for Q-FOG salt fog chambers.
There are two types of Q-FOG corrosion salt fog chamber. SSP model is used for traditional salt spray and Prohesion test. CCT models are used for maximum cycle vehicle testing of salt spray, Prohesion and 100% humidity.
Easy to program and sample installation
Q-FOG salt fog chamber can be circulated in four conditions: fog, drying, 100% humidity (CCT model only) and stationary. The test state, time and temperature are controlled by a built-in microprocessor. Very simple user interface, user-friendly programming and operation. Operators can quickly create new loops or select any programmed loop. The Q-FOG controller has complete self-diagnostic procedures, including early warning information, routine service reminders and safe shutdown.
The Q-FOG salt fog box has a low strip line and an easy-to-open cover, which makes the sample installation very convenient. The capacity of SSP-600 and CCT-600 is 160 test boards, and the size of the sample is 75mm x 150mm. The capacity of SSP-1100 and CCT-1100 models is 240 test boards.
Precision control of fog dispersion
Compared with the traditional system, Q-FOG circulating corrosion chamber has better fog dispersion function, and the traditional system can not independently change the settlement and distance. The variable speed peristaltic pump controls the flow of corrosive solution to the nozzle, while the air pressure regulator controls the distance between ldquo, spray and rdquo. Please note that purified water must be used in the normal operation of Q-FOG circulating corrosive salt fog tank.
Internal Solution Tank
The use of Q-FOG salt fog tank can maximize space utilization and minimize maintenance. The capacity of 120 liter water storage tank can run for 7 days or more in most test cycles. There is a saltwater filter and built-in water level alarm in the water storage tank. When the solution is at a low level, the operator will be reminded.
Fast cycling
Q-FOG salt fog chamber can change temperature very quickly because of its unique in-box heater and high capacity power cooling/drying fan. Additional air heaters can be used for very low humidity drying exposure tests. Conventional boxes with water jackets can not circulate quickly and produce low humidity because of their high heat capacity.
Affordable
Q-FOG Cyclic Corrosion Salt Fog Box provides the most advanced corrosion testing technology, which is reliable, easy to operate and easy to maintain & ndash, and all of these are very affordable.
